The Heretic
From the first time he saw her, he knew she had to be his.
David hid behind a flowerpot, peering through the empty spaces between stems and leaves for a better view of the beauty in the bath tub.
He sinned that night. He lusted for her. He coveted her. And when a servant informed him she was married, a murderous spirit found its way into his heart and whispered terrible things into his ear.
Bathsheba. The name rolled off his tongue like sweet nectar. He would have her. He was, after all, the king of Isreal, and he could have whatever he wanted.
